Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is the Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay fighter from Thailand as well as mixed martial artist currently competing at flyweight within the UFC. She is the sister of another fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's prodigious strike abilities permitted her to TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. Following this victory Antonina was able to sign the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the fight through a unanimous win, however she fell in her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the prize of the night during the fight.
